All Ring Video Doorbells can send notifications to your phone, tablet and PC when anyone presses your doorbell or triggers the built-in motion sensors. When you answer the notification, you can see, hear and speak to visitors from anywhere. The main differences between each doorbell are their additional features and how they receive power.

• Video Doorbell is powered by a rechargeable, built-in battery or can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system and works on any home. It features 1080p HD video and customizable motion zones that let you fine-tune the sensitivity of your motion sensors.

• Video Doorbell 3 is powered by a removable, rechargeable, quick-release battery pack for easier charging or can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system and works on any home. It has all the features of Ring Video Doorbell plus 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band wifi (vs 2.4GHz only on Video Doorbell) for enhanced connectivity and an additional “near” motion zone that provides motion detection in areas only 5’-15’ in front of your home (reducing irrelevant Motion Notifications further away). Video Doorbell 3 also has improved screw strength, a redesigned easy-to-remove faceplate, and automatic chime connection which makes installing your video doorbell easier than ever.

• Video Doorbell 3 Plus is powered by a removable, rechargeable, quick-release battery pack for easier charging or can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system and works on any home. It has all the features of Ring Video Doorbell 3 plus our Pre-Roll technology, which allows you to see an additional 4 seconds of video before the motion event was even triggered – a first-to-market feature for battery-powered doorbells and unique exclusively to Ring. Pre-Roll video is in black and white and in low resolution to conserve your battery life. Pre-Roll works in well-illuminated areas. Low light conditions may affect the Pre-Roll functionalities.

• Video Doorbell Pro connects to existing doorbell wires for nonstop power. It features 1080p HD video, dual-band wifi, a slim design and customizable motion zones that let you create and adjust your own motion zones.

• Video Doorbell Elite uses Power Over Ethernet to connect to the internet and receive power. Ideal for new or remodeled homes, Video Doorbell Elite has a flush mount and a sleek design with customizable motion zones and 1080p HD video.

• Ring Peephole Cam is powered by a removable, rechargeable, quick-release battery pack. Unlike other doorbells, which are typically mounted to the side of a door, Peephole Cam can be mounted directly on your door to replace a compatible peephole. It also features 1080p HD video, knock detection, and customizable motion zones.
